Under Old Management… I couldn’t help but notice this sign outside of a local, neighborhood bar and grill that has been in business for a long time.
Why?
It was different.
It made me curious in the opposite way a new place or an old place with new management would.
The sign doesn’t say the food is good, the beer is cold, prices are reasonable, service is good, that people are nice or that they support youth sports teams. It doesn’t have to.
Being in business a long time with consistent leadership that has weathered many ups and downs does.
I had never been in there before, so it was “new” to me. Instead of being curious about what problems they fixed, I had a different strand of curiosity. What were they doing right?
Curiosity is a powerful thing.
