Negligence or Diligence?

While experiencing the pain of regret, nobody wants to hear “I told you so” after the fact.

Here’s a friendly little reminder.

Gather as much job-related information as you legally can about job applicants so you can make informed decisions and evaluate potential risks and rewards. I don’t care if it costs more or takes more time upfront. It’s the price of diligence.

The cost of negligence (about $1 million) in this case, and OTHER examples I can easily cite… was high.

There’s a long list of reasons why. But nobody thinks this can happen to them until it does.

They could have used pre-employment tests to measure integrity in applicants and hired honest employees instead. They didn’t.
