When employers decide to lower their hiring standards (because they “can’t” get enough applicants, the hiring process takes too long, etc.) a similar thing happens, except that it is for your business.
(Think: “Hey everybody, this company doesn’t drug test… c’mon!”)
People who can’t get hired at other companies (for a long list of reasons) will flock to yours. They will bring LOTS of their friends… and ruin everything… for everybody.
A whole bunch of the wrong people will drive away a whole bunch of the right people. What’s left won’t be pretty. Recovery will be expensive and take a long time.
