Ever feel like your best isn’t good enough? If we are bold enough to be honest with ourselves, sometimes it just isn’t.

You show up. You put in the effort. You prepare…

But, you still miss your targets. It happens.

What happens NEXT is more important. How do you respond?

Do you lower your standards, accept less and tell yourself it’s ok because you did the best you could?

Or… do you decide to raise your standards, demand more of yourself and make your best… a lot better?

Coming up short sucks… and it happens to all of us… (assuming we have some ambition and worthwhile goals). For me, coming up short sucks more than the extra effort required to make whatever improvements are necessary.

My daily objective isn’t to do my best. My goal is to raise my standards, set bigger goals, and become what is NECESSARY to achieve my goals.

I had to remind myself of this today. I wanted to share it in case any of you could relate and needed a little reminder too.
